Give yourself a treat! Two whole days devoted to learning a new skill.
You can enjoy this two day workshop sitting in companiable quiet as you concentrate, or chat with friends as you create your own prints. Your designs can be abstract or loosely based on landscapes or objects.
A collagraph refers to a collage of materials glued on to a "printing plate," which is a square of cardboard. When glue is dry, it is shellac-ed or varnished so that it can be painted with inks. Paper is then pressed on to the surface to produce a print. The process is a combination of intaglio (a design incised or engraved into a material) and relief.
When your prints are complete, you can have them framed, or made into cards or any other published media - there are many ways to turn your artwork into so much more (calendars, greetings cards, business cards ....)
Take your mind off the everyday and learn something new to feed and nourish your inner self.
Homemade refreshments with tea and coffee - but you'll need to bring a packed lunch.
Wear old clothes and bring an apron.
All other materials are provided.
