HELLO.

HELLO. I'M CLAIRE.

For me, creativity is one of the most rewarding, relaxing and fun things we can do. Having spent over ten years as a primary school teacher I've watched in awe as children of all ages and abilities get lost in the wonderful world of art. The same applies to adults!

CREATING ENVIRONMENTS WHERE PEOPLE FEEL MOTIVATED, ACCOMPLISHED & HAPPY

I now spend much more of my time creating prints and running print making courses. Students use this time to relax, learn a new skill and create in the companionable atmosphere of like-minded people. I also supply homemade refreshments, tea and coffee.

THE WONDER OF PRINT

Printing is the most wonderfully compelling art form which is accessible to everyone. It is a unique, rewarding and versatile media with pretty much no right or wrong but that gives a wonderful sense of achievement, well-being and calm.

WHAT CAN YOU PRINT WITH?

You can print with almost anything! From the most basic of objects - corks, potatoes, leaves and twigs, you can create beautiful patterns and images, transferring them onto various papers and card. Prints can further be used to create cushions, curtains, boxes, cards, stationary and more. The possibilities are endless.

COLLAGRAPH

A collagraph refers to a collage of materials glued on to a "printing plate," which is a square of cardboard. When the glue is dry, it is shellac-ed or varnished so that it can be painted with inks. Paper is then pressed on to the surface to produce a print. The process is a combination of intaglio (a design incised or engraved into a material) and relief.

PARTIES, HEN DO'S AND EVENTS

If you're looking for something unusual to do as part of a special weekend with friends or family, something that everyone can get involved with and have something to proudly show for your efforts, then look no further. I can help you create a wonderful morning, afternoon or full day of arts and crafts where you'll create a beautiful range of things to take home. Just get in touch!
